School Receptionist

We seek to appoint a Part-time School Receptionist, working the equivalent of 3 days per week, but the hours can be flexible across 5 days.
The role would involve acting as the first point of contact for all enquiries and all visitors to the School, and carrying out various administration tasks to ensure the smooth running of the main school reception.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are key to this role as you will be dealing with visitors, parents, pupils and colleagues, face to face, by email and by phone, and you will be the first point of call for many enquiries. You will be responsible for signing in all visitors on site, and issuing them with the relevant ID badges, and making them aware of safeguarding and site information.
The successful candidate will have a professional appearance and attitude.
Experience of working in a school would be advantageous, but is not a requirement. The successful candidates must have excellent administration skills and be familiar and competent with different Microsoft IT packages. You will need to have excellent organisation and planning skills, and the ability to work flexibly within this very busy and varied role, remaining calm under pressure. Reception staff are also required to support the administrative function across the whole school as necessary.
The exact working hours for this role are to be confirmed and there to be confirmed and there may be some flexibility, which can be discussed further at interview. The role is term time, plus 5 weeks during the holidays which will include working days at the start/end of term, and during exam results days during the Summer Holidays.
